Old Municipal Building

Seismic assessment and strengthening design of the iconic 1912 Municipal Building. Following a fire in 2019, a system of structural steel frames was retrofitted to the existing unreinforced masonry walls to improve the building's seismic rating. A new precast panel building houses a lift and stairs for standalone access to the first storey.
